Saturday SKy

Dscn0057_3   Well. Today is Saturday and there's sky in that picture. But really, I have no idea what date it was taken or where they were. Dad took the picture. Isn't it pretty? I want to go there.

Happy Birthday, Brigitte!

My hands are killing me. I'm making something on size 10 straight needles and I'm used to much smaller circular needles. Once I go back to the mittens, of which I have 4 and a half pairs to go, remind me, it's much, much easier to knit mittens/gloves/socks/any small tubular object with short dpn's. Remind me to start buying them in gross, just in case. I'm dying to make these cabled gloves I saw in an old  Threads magazine.

I almost snapped a set in half because the length was driving me crazy and was only stopped because, well, mostly because I couldn't break them with my bare hands and I would have had to get up. [big sigh].

So! Labor Day weekend! I intend to labor on lounging. Any big plans?

What a pretty pic. Your dad is so talented.

Thanks for visiting and I'm feeling much better. The anitbiotics have finaly kicked in:D

Your new blog looks great!

I can't knit with straights to save my life. I use circulars for everything. They just seem easier.

That is a beautiful picture! I have hand ache now I switched to big needles for the shawl.

Yesterday, I baked cookies. Today was multiple loads of laundry. Have to find something else to delay doing sleeves!

Looks like a lovely place to vacation.

No big plans here! Still have the in-law visiting.

Lovely picture - wish I was there right now!

Heh, nope, relaxing is my only plan. :)

Lounging is top of my list, and given that, I had a very successful Saturday doing just that... nice new blog! welcome to typepad... blogger goodbye

I would love to be in the picture too. I'll bet the sound of the water was peaceful.
I'm thinking of moving to Typepad too. Blogspirit drives me nuts sometimes!
Knitting on straight needles, I don't think I could do it.

I'm with you on the dpns! My wrists hurt with circulars, and with large needles equally. It's very odd. But I love my dpns, especially the bamboo ones!

Very pretty picture - I want to go there too when you find out where it is ;o)

Hi, found you via Charity and popped over from Ireland for a visit. Gosh one does get around on this weblogging! I switched from straights to circulars a year or so ago and now can't use the straights at all (except for dpns, surprisingly, which I love, especially if they're really small. Am going to try making my own - check out my weblog tonight or tomorrow.
