Daylight Saving Time Is Evil

Firstly, DST is an evil, evil practice and must be abolished. Even my computer is ignoring it.

Secondly, found at chitta'svrtti's:

You Are a Colon
You are very orderly and fact driven.
You aren't concerned much with theories or dreams... only what's true or untrue.

You are brilliant and incredibly learned. Anything you know is well researched.
You like to make lists and sort through things step by step. You aren't subject to whim or emotions.

Your friends see you as a constant source of knowledge and advice.
(But they are a little sick of you being right all of the time!)

You excel in: Leadership positions

You get along best with: The Semi-Colon

Odd, you'd think they'd be used to me always being right by now....... and I love theories and dreams! But yes, it's true. I am utterly brilliant. Just ask me.

Img_0072_edited That's how far I'm at on the front - almost done! With the rightside. Then the left side to do but with any luck, I'll have all the numbers and it'll be smooth kniting. [knocks violently on wood. Well, my desk. It looks like wood. CE].

I'm not super happy where the buttonband binding ended up on the  pattern but it does have a nice big floppy collar so it's not really going to matter. And could I have taken a worse picture? Oh yes. Do not underestimate my skilz.

TV. Jericho tonight! 10pm CBS. I cannot believe who they killed off last week. Just breaks my heart. It's not doing fabulously in the ratings and I'm way sad about that but I wish they'd concentrated a little less on The Bomb and Who Dropped It and more on What People Do When The Life as They've Known it Is Over. Only in Jericho? Not so much. Nice allegory on Iraq though.

Considering you must be down to about 10 minutes leisure time a day, I am particularly amazed at your knitting progress!

Hey, that looks great. Very pretty!

If you missed Canterbury's Law, you didn't miss anything. After 3 episodes of New Amsterdam, I'm still not sure about it, but it's great eye candy ;-)

So I thought the test was "What body organ are you?" and wondered "Why the hell would she even want us to know she was the organ just before the ass???"

That cable is looking just wonderful. And I agree. DSL is evil....

I like Daylight Savings Time, I've decided, but I'd wish they'd stop making us change the time now that we are here. Forget the other time change all together.

Daylight Savings time sucks. It really does. I hate it with a passion. I haven't seen last week's Jericho yet. Have it Tivo'd though. Someone dies? Oh no...

I'm still trying to get used to the time change, too. Yuck.

The knitting looks great, though! :0)

I agree - DST is horrible - it turns my kids and I into cranky monsters.

I cried over last week's Jericho. Sob. I hope that guy get's what's coming to him!

I heard about last week's Jericho from a friend. I heard it was bad. My condolensces on that and the DST. We here in the islands do not observe the whole savings of the daylight. We have an abundance of daylight as it is. ;-)

I read that as colon=part of the intestine and wondered why anyone would come up with such a quiz.

I agree with Marina - I do like New Amsterdam, and it IS good eye candy! And Jericho! People! Watch it!

Now, I have no idea what you're talking about, the buttonband looks fine. Sheesh...

OK. I am SUCH a French Canadian (we only had english literature and comprehension classes in school) - when I first saw your result, I thought "what body part are you? Man...".

I'm evidently a comma.
Love the sweater. I've spaced, however, on what pattern it is... remind me?

I am a question mark? Oh well...a colon is good. One of my favs is a semicolon. I am such an English teacher.

I love the cable on that sweater!

V-Point front looking great so far... really love the cable that comes down the front... It's kind of nice to see the cardigan in pieces, I somehow get a better overall view of the whole, where as sometimes looking at the "whole" is deceptive (I think that made sense, I am blaming DST for everything).

Does anyone like DST? Just wondering ...

I'm a colon too. Though when I first saw your post, I thought of the "other" kind of colon ...

I'm a colon too!

mmmmm...cables...

Great to see you back! And yes, I hate DST. Sure it's great to have longer days, but I have not been to work on time yet this week. I HATE it!

I had to do a search on WHY we have to have DST - the reasons are really lame. Such as, "people like it" - really? Who? Can I have their phone numbers? Other reasons - "it saves energy," and "There are fewer car accidents," and "it makes trick-or-treaters safer." If it is light longer, then it is hot longer - how does that save energy? I find it really hard to believe that sleep deprived people have fewer car accidents, and by all means lets change our internal clocks for 6 months so that trick or treaters will be safer one night of the year! Really! Love the sweater, and I'm a semi-colon, which is funny since I typically forbid my students to use semi-colons in their papers (if they can't use it properly, they shouldn't use it at all). But love the sweater, really.

OK, I admit when I saw "You are a colon", I wasn't think about punctuation.

You're so right. I'm exhausted this week.

This is only our second year dealing with DST and I agree that it sucks.

I was in major boo-hoo mode with last week's Jericho. And I kinda thought Stanley would do what he did. Why aren't more people watching this show?!

I love that main cable on your sweater.

I am not a fan of DST, we spent too many years on the Prairies (NO DST, being the middle of Canada) to worry about. What a waste of time LOL.....

YOur knitting is coming along well. Hi to Hez too!!!

Carrie- I know you're brilliant- does recognizing that fact make me smarter too?

I keep wondering how heavy that knitting is going to be when it is all sewn up!

Hmmm, I wonder what it says about me when I read, "you are a colon" I immediately thought of the human body part, not the punctuation.
