Euphoria and Fear

The euphoric part? I finished knitting a pair of socks!!! My Jaywalkers are done! It only took me....June 2007....June 2008......a while. But they're done, washed and blocking.

Sadly you'll have to wait for a picture because I left them, hopefully on the washing machine, this morning.

Because the fear part (is me overreacting no doubt as usual) leaving Hezekiah ALL DAY at the vet's to get her little teefies cleaned. Probably for the first time in her life. Tell me she'll be fine.

UPDATE: Hez is fine - the vet had to take a tooth, but she's "resting comfortably." Now I just have to cool my heels until I can pick her up at 4pm. Maybe I should look for something nice to bribe her with?

Oh dear. Hez will be fine, but it will likely be awhile before you see her again after you get her home. Just keep in mind that you did the right thing, and it is for her best health. Socks! Yay!

she'll be fine!

Great job! I'm sure the dentist/vet will be kind to her, they always are.

Hez is going to be fine! Really! But I'm all over how you feel about leaving her behind like that. I go through that every time I have to do it. And then they are fine.

She'll be fine and she'll have sparkly clean teeth when she comes home! Zoey the fraidy retriever went to the vet this morning and was astonishingly well-behaved and brave.

She'll be perfectly okay, but with younger! whiter! teeth! when you pick her up.

Congrats on the socks, can't wait to see them!

Hez will be either: so glad to see you when you pick her up that she'll forget you're the one who left her in that horrible place; or will pretend to be angry with you until she's hungry, at which point she will be as affectionate as she ever is. :)

There's nothing to worry about. Another Finished Object? We still haven't seen the Mother's Day shawl turned into a stole.

Hez be great when you pick her up. She'll have all day after she wakes up to plot ways to make you pay. *laugh*

Congrats on the Jays!!

Oh, I'm sure she'll be fine - pissed as hell, but fine.

I can't wait to see your Jaywalkers! Mine are in "hibernation" as the Ravelry status goes.

Hez should be fine, better she get her teeth cleaned/pulled/checked than be miserable with an infected tooth or something.

But yeah, you'll probably pay. So what else is new????

Congratulations on the FO! Im glad Hez is doing good!

Aww, poor Hezekiah! I hope your kitty is recovering nicely. Did you give her some catnip toy to rub her little face against?

Cant wait to see the Jaywalkers! I havent braved that pattern yet, so Im looking forward to seeing yours.

Oh, ouch. I didn't know vets pulled cat teeth. She'll be fine, but I'd give her some extra cuddles.

Carrie- A new mousie can work wonders.

Glad to hear it all went well. We haven't done that for Emma yet and I'm not looking forward to it either :-)

I knew all would be well, and I'm glad :)! I think getting her drunk on catnip so she forgets the whole thing is a good idea. Maybe a little lizard to chase around the house as she recovers...
;)

"Tooth extraction" is no good in any species. But socks make everyone happy!

I'm sure Hez was fine. Charity went through many, many dental procedures and was happiest after most of her teeth were pulled. It cured her stomatitis.

Tim has a bad tooth. Probably an abcess. He can't get it seen until Tuesday at the earliest. I hope all goes well.

He's used up almost all of his dental benefit for this policy year. The new policy year starts July 1, which doth suck muchly. Ah well, Charity never had dental insurance and we managed.

Hez will recover quickly, I'm sure, but you'll feel guilty for a while and spoil her rotten. That's life.

Jaywalkers completed! Marina mentioned the UFO of a stole, what about the UFO of a Starmore???

Don't worry, I'm not judging, I'm in the same boat.

I can't wait to see those socks, how do you block yours? I have a pair to block.

Glad to hear Hez is ok! Chicken is always popular.

Aww poor kitty, but what a good Mom to take her to have it done.
She WILL be flashing her lovely clean teeth and you can spoil her rotten...
Chicken IS a good choice!
:D
