There was continuing ed.
There was food (Pepper's in Pacific Grove, Flaherty's in Carmel, Wild Plumes in Monterey.) (The picture is from Pacific Grove across from the Seven Gables, where I've decided to retire to. Either there or Hearst Castle.
Monarch Knits in Pacific Grove had Hanne Falkenburg kits! If they'd've had Mermaid, it was mine. It was a close call w/Diva but I wasn't crazy about the colors.
I walked the beach.
You can get CPE credits with an ocean view? Suh-weet!

More and more reasons to hate you.
Saving me space at Hearst Castle would go a long way in ameliorating this hatred.

Wow...just. Wow!
I wanted so to see the Pacific Ocean when I was in OR. (sigh)
I'll live vicariously.
Hmmmm....maybe I should plan a trip to CA?
I am SO glad you had a good time!!!
(((hugs)))

Ooohhh, Pacific Grove. We took our last pre-baby vacation there, and stayed at the most delightful bed and breakfast... Sigh.

Steinbeck, right? I'm just guessing that's he on the bench because he's everywhere up there. Looks like a pretty trip!

So gorgeous! We were going to Monterey recently and I was so looking forward to the Monterey Fish House, and it didn't happen! I'm glad to hear you got to go at least!

Can I retire to Hearst Castle too? It's big enough and has enough swimming pools we'd rarely ever run into each other unless we chose to :)

Wow, who knew that continuing ed was so scenic?
Posted by: Chris | September 24, 2009 at 07:36 AM
Gorgeous pictures! I've never been to a library training/meeting anywhere half as beautiful as that.

Oh wow...nice pictures! If you retire to the Hearst mansion, can I come over?
Did you buy any yarn at all?!!

We should all have such a cool place for continuing ed! I've been there once or twice and wouldn't mind repeating the visit.
I'll definitely visit you when you retire. :D
